Ryan Newman hospitalized after Daytona 500 crash

Ryan Newman was taken to the clinic Monday right after a fiery vehicle crash marred the conclude of the Daytona 500. The driver’s status was not right away recognized.

Newman was jockeying for situation with eventual winner Danney Hamlin and Ryan Blaney, when his No. 6 automobile spun into the wall, flipped onto its roof and was then hit by Corey LaJoie’s car.

Newman’s car flew into the air just before sliding across the track upside down and bursting into flames.

The 42-year-previous was attended to by monitor staff for various minutes and the Fox broadcast noted he was transported to a area clinic in an ambulance.

According to various reports, crews at Daytona International Speedway erected screens to continue to keep lovers from observing the aftermath of the crash, and media was informed to leave the pits.

Hamlin was shaken up next the race, telling ESPN: “One day [winning the race] will all sink in. But correct now all I’m considering about is Ryan Newman.”
